I finally purchased a glider to use with the new baby. After going to a couple stores and taking a look at the 200-300 and even 400 dollar ones we decided to go with this basic glider to save money for christmas and other necessities.

So far I have had it assembled 2 weeks and use it many times during the day to nurse and read books. The bottom cushion is a bit hard but honestly this glider is well worth the money if you are on a budget don’t feel bad about getting this one over the more expensive ones. It is pretty and does the job just fine.

When it arrived there was a huge rip in the box and the outer corner of the glider was exposed. Thankfully it was packed with foam around the corners and did not sustain any damage.

Assembly was quite easy and the glider bottom comes assembled, the ottoman is completely assembled. So it was 8 screws I believe, to assemble this and my DH had it done in about 20 minutes.

It has a nice warm finish and should match well with other cherry furniture. The cushions are a sandy beige color and are attractive.

I’d recommend this as a nice glider for someone looking to save $$.

Update – March 12, 2009 – Still satisfied with the purchase, has maintained its quality and gets a lot of use.

Update – May 22, 2010 – Now a nursing/reading chair. Frequently used and in nice shape. Looking into getting a better cushion set.

I bought this glider and ottoman to match the furniture for my babies nursery. It looks great and was very easy to put together. The only problem I have is the seat cushion is not very comfortable. The cushion on the back of the glider is very comfortable and I am hoping with use that the seat cushion will soften up a bit. Other than that, I love it.

I purchased this glider several mos before the birth of my daughter thinking it was a good value. For the first 4-5 months it was great! I used it frequently, as I breastfed and sat down in it 7-10x each day and rocked a LOT! Around 5 mos it started squeaking on each rock unless I sat at a specific angle, which is nervewracking when you’re trying to get a baby to sleep. It would also squeak when I stood up to transfer her to the crib – which woke her on multiple occassions. Not tiny mouse squeaks, either. Rusty hinge type squeaks. Oiling and greasing give short-term relief.

Around 6 mos one of the rungs under the glider splintered and I taped it back together with duct tape (I’m not a heavy gal, either, 5’10″ and 150lbs). I wish that I’d gotten something with better low-back support, too. At this point we still use it but I truly wish I had invested more money in a better quality rocker-glider, since I knew I’d be using it a lot. This was not the value I thought I was getting. Live and learn…

I picked this glider out for my in-laws to buy as a gift. It is comfortable, but it is much smaller than I thought. I don’t consider myself a big person but I am about 5’8″ and my husband is 6’8″ and the seat doesn’t come to the back of my knees and the back doesn’t come up very high (about the bottom of my neck). I guess I thought the back would be much bigger and higher from the looks of the picture and is not comfortable for him at all. It’s not too bad for me, but I feel like I’m sitting in a large child’s seat. Anyone else feel this way?

This rocker looks so much nicer than it actually is. Very easy to assemble, and the cherry wood is nice. But the cushions are terrible. The seat cushion, after one day, already feels flat. On day two, it’s developed a squeak. I am not happy with purchase at all.

I gave Awesome Origami to my art loving nine year old niece for Christmas. Eight months later, she is still regularly making origami from the ideas in the instruction book. She loves creating personalized pieces(she made me a dog that looks just like my dog)and giving them as gifts to friends and family. For her birthday I restocked her origami paper supply with Origami Paper Bright 6″ 49 Sheets so she could continue her art. Creativity for Kids makes fabulous products that really do engage the creative spirit of children.

Even though my granddaughter is only six, she loved this kit. She is very good with her hands and I was able to show her how to do some of the designs. Some adult supervision is needed with children of this age, but the kit is flexible enough with all its little decorations and feathers that children can use their imagination to make their own creations without having to follow the rules step by step.
